You are picked up from your hotel in Urubamba (Sacred Valley) and head to the imposing Ollantaytambo Fortress, one of the most notable archaeological complexes of the Incan Empire, known for its impressive agricultural terraces that extend along the slopes of the surrounding mountains. At the end of this half-day tour, head to the train station. Board Peru Rail’s Vistadome Observatory train from Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes station (Machu Picchu Town) and receive assistance upon your arrival. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu translates to «Old Mountain,» which enchants visitors with its historical grandeur and natural beauty. After the visit, return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Upon arriving at Sumaq Hotel, make your way to Aqlla Spa, where you will indulge in soothing hot stone treatment and massage—a perfect way to conclude this wonderful day.

Then, head to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, whose imposing walls provide an impressive panoramic view of Cusco. From there, you start your tour by walking to the San Cristóbal viewpoint and start descending toward the city’s main square. Your journey through the cobbled and majestic Cusco streets takes you through over 500 years of Inca history, intertwined with the modernity of popular shops and restaurants. Pass by the picturesque, sloped street of Siete Borreguitos, known for being the traditional route used by locals to transport goods and animals, including sheep. Make a stop at the Sapantiana Aqueduct, built during the colonial era, before arriving at the Cathedral, the most imposing monument in the Plaza de Armas.
